While I did mean to let the challenge two weeks, I didn't mean to add the extra day. Great job it's lovely to see that people are still around!

New challenge:

Motion/moving/movement.

It may someone moving to a new country, or trying out a new sword move. Perhaps someone put the moves on a girl too quickly. Let those muses run wild!

Also, can everyone please fill out the lovely poll that I will put in the next entry where it will hopefully, finally, work.

Shameless Self-Advertisement: Icefall Tamora Pierce Fanzine! [May. 8th, 2005|11:04 pm]

I'm pleased to announce that Steelsings is coming out with a Tamora Pierce fanzine and is currently asking for submissions. This fanzine, called Icefall, is dedicated to showcasing the vast array of talent, both well-known and undiscovered, in the Tamora Pierce fandom. To that end we intend to come out with a fanzine every two months, containing fanfic of all stripes, original fiction, poetry, and nonfiction commentary on Tamora Pierce's works, writing, sheroism, and personal experiences of the fans.

Steelsings has recently been the victim of a hacker attack, and until the issue is resolved and the server is put to rights, the information about Icefall is hosted at a mirror site. I'd encourage everyone to drop by and take a look around and consider submitting something.

Our first issue is tentatively due out June 1 so we'd appreciate submissions in at least a week before that date.

No, this community is not dead, all evidence to the contrary. I will do my best to try to breath life back into it.

And to jump start a drabble topic:

Back to the beginning.

Remember when Alanna and her crew were young? Or when the Circle of Four group still lived together? Or perhaps the beginning of the Thayet/Jon relationship is more to your taste? Interpret anyway you'd like.

Drabbles are now defined as 100 to 1000 words. Please lj-cut anything over 200 hundred words though.
